Real Madrid have rejected two offers of £130m for Marco Asensio, according to the Spanish midfielder’s agent.
The 22-year-old made 52 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing 11 goals and six assists in his second full season at the Bernabeu.
The Spain international re-signed with Madrid in September, extending his deal to 2023 with a reported £613m release clause.
And Asensio’s agent, Horacio Gaggioli, has revealed there has been some serious interest in the player from other clubs.
‘Madrid have received two offers for Marco Asensio, up to €150m (£131m), but the club rejected them,’ he told Cadena SER. ‘He has an extraordinary future.’
The former Mallorca man has been linked with a number of clubs and Gaggioli confirmed that the reports were based on truth.
‘You can imagine that they come from England because they can afford it without any problems,’ he continued. ‘They could even raise it.’
